Vicki was a long standing member and Elder of the Pike Run CCCU. She was an EMT/1st Responder and Firefighter in Adelphi for many years. She volunteered a lot of her time to the Medical Center ER. She worked with the Democratic Committee from 1977-2016. She was a Trustee of the Vinton County Historical Society.  Vicki wrote many articles for the Vinton County Courier, having her own forum called “Clippings from the Past” by Vicki Vanover.  Jack (husband) and Vicki owned and operated Vanover Logging with sons Larry and Jack Jr. from 1987-2007.  Among her many accomplishments, she was best known for her love of her children and grandchildren. She loved to laugh, and had a great sense of humor. Many would say, “Oh, that Vicki, she had me in stitches.”  She loved her Gospel music and could turn anything into a party. There was never a dull moment in the Vanover house, as Vicki loved her animals. Not unusual to see a deer, cow, lamb or pig resting on the floor or in her bed! Christmas was her favorite holiday. She always made it very special for all of us.  A Celebration of Life will take place at Wellman's Funeral Home 16451 St. Rt. 56 Laurelville, Ohio 43135 on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 11 am with Jim Vandergriff officiating.
