Sandie Barthelmas Obituary

Sandie Barthelmas, 76, of Circleville, passed away April 30, 2023 at her residence. She was born on June 10, 1946 in Pickaway County, the daughter of William J. and Marguerite (Gardner) Barthelmas. She had a masters in education from OSU and was retired from Columbus Public Schools, then substituted in Pickaway County all while helping with child watch at YMCA. She loved her dogs, cats and horses and she loved Botany. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William J. Barthelmas, Jr. and sister Marilyn Jean “Cookie” Caulfield. She is survived by her daughter, Steva Cowen; grandchildren, Rain and Lyric Hoops; sister, Barbara Jo Moore; brother, Steven J. Barthelmas; nephews and nieces, Steve, Jr., Holly, Scott, John and Jennifer; best friend, Kathy Wilson; caregiver and close friend, Linda Shull. Memorial service will be held at a later date.
