Robert Hardesty Obituary

On Saturday, January 28, 2023, Robert “Bob” Alan Hardesty was called home at the age of 65.  The world has lost a great son, brother and father.  Robert was born on October 3, 1957 in Cicleville, Ohio to Lewis and Georgia (Leasure) Hardesty.  He was a graduate of Zane Trace High School.  He was retired from his position as Weatherization Program Coordinator at Ross County Community Action.  He raised on daughter, Candace.  Robert led a simple life.  His interests included feeding the wildlife around his home, everything muscle cars including cruising around town in his very own, spending time with his family, music, his yearly garden and Christmas.  Christmas time was when he really shined.  He decorated his entire house with lights and inflatables and encouraged anyone he spoke with to bring their kids to see the lights.  One of his favorite things was bringing joy to children.  He handed out candy to all the cars that would come for his Christmas lights.  He was a regular at the Roosters restaurant in Chillicothe and always brought his favorite employees candy as well as candy for them to take home to their children.  Robert was preceded in death by his father, Lewis, and his mother, Georgia.  He is survived by his daughter Candace (Mark Imler), his sister Kathy and brother Randall (Rita), one nephew Clint, aunt Bette Thurston and several cousins.  A private service will be held with family at a later date.  Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
