Ola Louise (Hettinger) VanFossan

Ola Louise Hettinger VanFossan, 98, of Laurelville passed away on May 1, 2018.  She was born on January 15, 1920 in Ross County to Willis and Minnie (Arledge) Hettinger.  Ola was known for making pies and noodles, was a member of Laurelville Church of God and worked at GE for 26 years.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Forrest Lee “Johnnie” VanFossan, daughter Phyllis J. Hunt, son-in-law Melvin Hunt, granddaughter Amber VanFossan, brother-in-law Jim VanFossan, sister Florence Wise, brothers Earl in infancy, Melvin, Carl, Berlin, Ralph, sister-in-law Ruth Huber, Loretta “Chuck” Hettinger and Mary Audaline Thomas.  Ola is survived by her children Ronald (Marlene) VanFossan, Sharon Darst, Roger Craig VanFossan, 8 grandchildren Brent (Wendy) VanFossan, Tiesha (Douglas) Clark, Stacey Karr, Dustin Karr, Craig VanFossan, Vickie (Steve) Egan, Todd Hunt and Chase VanFossan,  18 great grandchildren, 6 great, great grandchildren and by sisters Ruth Brokaw, Wilma Congrove, brother Harold Hettinger and sister-in-law Virginia Paxton.    Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Green Summit Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Alzheimer’s Association of Central Ohio Chapter, 1379 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43215.  Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
