Mary Lou (Cupp) Ross

Mary Lou Ross, 84, of Laurelville passed away on April 13, 2024 at Grant Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.  She was born March 23, 1940 in Circleville, Ohio to the late Wayne and Dorothy (Frazier) Cupp.  She was a graduate of Saltcreek High School in 1958 and was a faithful lifelong member of the Laurelville Trinity United Methodist Church.  In addition to her parents she was preceded by her loving husband Wilson Ross of 64 years who she married on July 12, 1959.  Mary Lou is survived by her brother Larry Cupp; sister Carolyn Vanfossen; beloved children, daughter Tammy (Brad) Jones, Trent (Janet) Ross, Stephen (Holly) Ross; grandchildren Kyle (Jennifer) Russell, Kaitlin (Daniel) Burke, Evan and Ethan Jones, Tyler Ross, Trevor (Kassie) Ross, Connor, Camyrn and Kaylee Ross and by many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Mary Lou was strong willed and stubborn at times, but she also had an enormous heart and a wonderful sense of humor.  She loved spending time with her family, loved her dog Ellie and cat Willie.  She enjoyed being on a bowling league, playing euchre and going to the casino.  Her departure comes as a great shock and is a deep wound gravely felt by her entire family and countless others.  The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time and asks that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the Laurelville Trinity United Methodist Church.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville with Pastor Brian Davis officiating with burial to follow in Green Summit Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.  Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
