Martha "Marty" (Ward) Hart

Martha “Marty” Elizabeth Hart, daughter of the late Ray and Marie (Smith) Ward, was born September 15, 1946.  Marty dearly loved her grandparents Henry and Susan Ward, who resided with the family for many years.  She graduated from Circleville High School in 1966.  After high school, she attended the Columbus Business University where she obtained an Associate Degree in computer programming.  Martha was then hired by DSCC, where she worked as a computer security specialist for thirty six years.  Marty loved spending time with her family and friends.  Having never had children of her own, she was extremely doting over her niece and nephews.  When visiting their homes, Marty was always open to any adventures.  She will always be remembered for her bubbly, sunny personality.  She was a kind and caring person to all who knew her.  Martha dearly loved her “fur babies”, Prince and Tippy Sue.  In addition to her parents, Marty was preceded in death by her twin sister, Marcella Hostetler, brother Donald “Don” Ward, and nephew-in-law Stoney Speakman.  Marty’s precious life will forever be cherished by her sister-in-law Linda Ward and her nieces and nephews: Lori Speakman, Teresa (Darwin) Hamner, Donovan (Heidi) Ward, and Douglas “Doug” Hostetler; great nieces and nephews: Justin Speakman, Sean (Jennifer) Speakman, Alina Hamner, Jenna Hamner, and Shelby Ward; a host of loving great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.  Marty received her wings on Saturday, January 9, 2021.  Marty had been battling many health issues before contracting COVID pneumonia.  Her journey home is now complete.  Private services for the family will be held.  Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
