Jim "Rock" Walrath

Jim “Rock” Walrath entered the happy hunting grounds on October 18, 2021, from his home in Ohio after a lengthy illness.  Jim was born in Nekoosa, Wisconsin on April 13, 1940, to Kelsey and Margret (VanTassel) Walrath.  Jim was united in marriage to Sharon (Engwall) Walrath and they had three children.  He was an avid outdoorsman, fond of the various hunting and fishing seasons.  He enjoyed handing down his outdoorsman expertise his dad had taught him to his children, nephews and nieces.  Jim is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sharon, three children Marlys, James D. and Joye, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  Jim was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Shirley Whitney and Doneta Pongratz, brother Don Walrath and nephew John Walrath.  Private services were held at St. Joseph Church in Circleville, Ohio and burial will be at a later date.   Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
