Evelyn Lucille (Lindecamp) DeLong

Evelyn Lucille DeLong, 94, of Circleville passed away on September 12, 2023.  Evelyn was born on January 13, 1929; the youngest child of Clarence and Lola (Morr) Lindecamp.  She was a lifelong devoted Christian and member of Calvary United Methodist Church since 1951, where she served for many years at the Local, State, and World levels of Church leadership.  Her roles included: Administrative Board Chairperson, Pastor Parish Relations Committee Chairperson, Sunday School teacher of 50 plus years, Church Treasurer, District Officer, active member of Women’s Society of World Service, Secretary of the West Ohio Conference of the Woman’s Society of Christian Service (WSCS) under the United Methodist Church, and was a former member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Ashland.  Evelyn played softball, was a lifelong baseball enthusiast, and enjoyed golfing.  She married Dale DeLong on July 15, 1951.  He preceded her in death along with her parents and siblings Gerald Lindecamp and Marjorie (Lindecamp) Fulk.  She is survived by her sons Dan (Marilyn) and David (Trisha) DeLong; grandchildren Adam (Megan) DeLong, Emily (Sam) Moynihan, Andrew (Angela) DeLong, and Jeffrey DeLong.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Forest Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Monday at the church from 10:00 until the time of service.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Samaritans Purse, P.O.
