Vera Thompson

Vera Jean Thompson, 87, of Circleville, died June 30, 2010 at Berger Hospital. She was born December 2, 1922 in Pickaway County, the daughter of James and Nellie Mae (Leist) List. She was a 1940 graduate of Jackson Twp. High School, self-employed farmer, active in Trinity Lutheran Church and Pickaway Senior Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul S. Thompson; great granddaughter, Riley Wippel and ½ brothers, Kenneth and Gerald Majors. She is survived by her children, Gary S. (Linda S.) Thompson, Paul “Brad” (Donna) Thompson and Janelle (Chip) Morgan all of Circleville; 4 grandchildren, Marci (Jay) Wippel, J.T. (Kara) Thompson, Brooke (Jared) Clark and Krista (Steve) McAfee; 4 great grandchildren, Austin, Brad and Jaylyn Wippel and Case Thompson. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday July 3, 2010 at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Gerhard Kraus officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Pickaway Senior Center.
