Vera (Hall) Guffey

Vera Guffey, 101, of Laurelville passed away on September 2, 2018.  She was born on October 16, 1916 in Iberia, Ohio to Edward and Anna (Hershner) Hall.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Chester Guffey and by sister Ruth Reber.  She was a lifelong Grandview Resident and and a member of Boulevard Presbyterian Church for 61 years.  Vera is survived by her children Lawrence “Larry” (Luanne) Guffey and Joyce Vance, grandchildren Christine (Ron) Charlton, Timothy (Brandi) Guffey, Reid (Nicki) Vance, Stacey (Jamie) Shafer, Beth (Glen) Wantji, 12 great grandchildren and by brother Richard Hall.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery on Monday.  Friends may call at the funeral home in Laurelville from 10-11 a.m.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Boulevard Presbyterian Church, 1235 N.W.
