Troy Lee Chaffin, 90, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026 at home with family in Stoutsville, OH. He was born January 3, 1936, in Webb West Virginia to Dennie Lee Chaffin and Ardith Chaffin (Chapman). He coached both boys & girls youth baseball & softball, taking the girls team to 3rd place in the state. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennie and Ardith, beloved step mother June Chaffin (Rose); wives, Linda Mae Chaffin (Fowler) and Dorothy Ann Chaffin (Kirk); brothers, Elmer (Sharon) Chaffin, Bill Chaffin, Larry Chaffin, Clinton Chaffin; sister, Pauline Chaffin; brothers-in-law he considered family, Ray Kirk and John Kirk. He is survived by five children, Lindora Hubel (Chaffin), Sherrie Chaffin, Troy Chaffin, Jr., Brenda (Ron) Cordell (Chaffin) and Jason (Liz) Chaffin; twelve grandchildren, Cory Hubel, Kara (John) Hubel, Ashlee Lucas, Michael Collier, Dustin Collier, Derrick Chaffin, Leslie, Joshua (Jessica) Cordell, Nicole (Cameron) Marshall, Zechariah Cordell, Alyssa (Eli) Cordero, Alex Chaffin; 16 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins; sisters, Lois (Perry) Chaffin, Mary (Craig) Gage, Jean (Bruce) Lane; brother, Eugene (Juanita) Chaffin and also by beloved nephew Elmer Lee Chaffin. There is a hole in our hearts as we mourn his passing and celebrate his reunion with loved ones since gone. He was our Beacon and forever missed. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday March 7, 2026 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Forest Lawn. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Friday.
