Thomas Joseph Baum Jr., 45, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026. He was born on June 9, 1981. He leaves behind a heartbroken family and many friends who will forever cherish the memories they made with him. Tom was a loyal, loving, and kindhearted person who cared deeply for his family, his friends, and his animals. He was the kind of person who would help anyone who needed him, never hesitating to lend a hand. His friendships meant so much to him, and those who knew Tom knew how deeply he loved the people who were a part of his life. Tom found happiness in the outdoors and enjoyed spending time exploring and searching for the treasures nature had to offer. He especially loved mushroom hunting and looking for arrowheads. These simple adventures brought him joy and created many memories that those who shared them with him will always hold close. Tom was also a loving uncle and a beloved son and brother. He leaves behind his heartbroken parents, Thomas Baum Sr. and Nancy Baum; his sister, Stacy (Bill) Stickel; nephews Chaz, Levi, and Kaden; and his bonus son, Chase Melvin, whom Tom loved as his own. Tom also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind his best friends, Derek Conboy, Michael Binkley, Jason Pritchard, and Todd Guiles, who shared countless memories, laughter, adventures, and difficult times with him. Tom’s beloved cats and his dog, Crush, were also an important part of his life and held a special place in his heart. Tom had his struggles throughout life, but those struggles never erased the good that was in him. He was a great person with a big heart, and he will be remembered for the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the many ways he was there for others. Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thelma Baum, Kenneth Weaver, and Christine Weaver, as well as his best friend, Joey Potts. There will be no formal service at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will have the opportunity to come together, share stories, and remember Tom for the person he was and the love he brought into their lives. Tom, you were loved more than words can ever express, and you will be missed more than words can ever say. Your parents will carry you in their hearts every day. Your sister will hold close every memory, every laugh, and every moment you shared. Your nephews and Chase will always know how deeply you loved them and the special place you held in their lives. Your friends will forever remember the adventures, the laughter, the conversations, and the times you stood beside them when they needed you.
