Don McKinniss

Donald Rueben McKinniss, 92, of Grove City, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

Born on December 6, 1933, in Wellston, Ohio, Don was the son of the late Ezra and Margaret (Austin) McKinniss. He was a 1951 graduate of Wellston High School and served in the US Army during the post-war occupation of Germany. He spent most of his career as a tool and die machinist with General Motors, retiring in 1998. Post-retirement, he enjoyed his time as a Freemason and volunteered with the Shriners, Charity Newsies, and Meals on Wheels.

Don was preceded in death by his spouses Elizebeth and Judy (Harrington). He is survived by his daughters, Kelly (Richard) Scott; Donna (John) Oklok; and Malinda (Corey) Sparks; and stepsons Craig and Steven Smiley along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A calling hour for Don will be held at noon with 1:00pm funeral service on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Wellman Funeral Home Circleville, with Pastor Anita Richter officiating. Due to frigid temperatures, no graveside service will be held.

Flowers are welcomed as well as donations to Shriners Hospital for Children or Charity Newsies.
