Roy Franklin Fee, aged 86, of Laurelville, Ohio, peacefully passed away on May 16, 2026, at home surrounded by family after a brief illness.
Born on September 28, 1939 in Vinton County, Roy was the son of the late Ervin and Ocal Fee. Roy grew up alongside his siblings, Ray Fee, Freida Fee Daft, and Dorothy Karshner. He graduated from Allensville High School in 1957. After graduation, he was offered a position at Columbia Gas contingent on military service. Roy joined the U.S. Army and became a proud cook.
Roy spent 34 years working for Columbia Gas, where he was known throughout the community for his professionalism.
Beyond his career, Roy was an avid hunter and woodworker. He enjoyed farming: working with cattle, baling hay, and gardening. He spent many years as a Sunday school teacher and superintendent. He was a wonderful Christian and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Roy is survived by his devoted spouse of 63 years, Jessie (Malone) Fee. He was a loving father to Bryan Fee and Barry (Ginny) Fee.
Graveside viewing will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 2:30 pm at Green Summit Cemetery, located in Adelphi, Ohio. Pastor Zechariah Cordell will be officiating the funeral services that will begin at 3:00pm.
