Roger Lee Adkins Sr.

Roger Lee Adkins Sr., 78, of Chillicothe, passed away on February 1, 2026 in Adena Hospital. He was born on August 3, 1947 in Harts Creek, WV, the son of Musco and Belva (Dempsey) Adkins. He was an U. S. Army veteran serving in the 9th infantry, 2nd battalion, 31st artillery during the Vietnam War and life member of Amvets Post 2256. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Clifton Adkins, Clifford Adkins, Lando Adkins, Sr., Margie Bryant, Britton Adkins, Arthur Adkins, Merrel Adkins, Homer Adkins, Hazel Bryant, Hatten Adkins, Carrie McCloud, Gladys Roberts, Chapman Adkins, Merle Savage, Geneva Joanna Bailey, Bessie Adkins, Musco Adkins, Jr. and Dallas Adkins; special friends, Danny Clarkson and Wayne Phipps. He is survived by his wife, Vickie “Riffle” Adkins; children, Roger (Erin) Adkins, Jr. and Michelle (Jeremy) Klinebriel; grandchildren, Lexus Forrest, Roger Adkins, III, Brodey Lowery, Raylee Adkins, Victoria Klinebriel and Rylee Dowden; special cousins, George Farley and Charlie Casto; brother-in-law, Kenny Hedges; sisters-in-law Becky Hedges and Robin Coleman; special friends, Tim Agee and Bo Colburn. Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Friday February 6, 2026 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Harrison Twp. Cemetery.
