Robert F. "Bob" Azbell

Robert F. “Bob” Azbell, 91, of Circleville, passed away February 9, 2026 at his residence. He was born on May 20, 1934 in Pickaway County, the son of Kenneth and Violet “Faye” (Stevens) Azbell. He was a Korean War Veteran, Bronze Star recipient, serving from 1950-1953 and was retired from DuPont with 37 years of service. He was an avid motorcyclist from his early teen to his 80’s and he also enjoyed flying his plane. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debra Kay Hurd; son, Stephen Michael Azbell; infant sister, Helen; sister, Sharon Archer and brother, Kenny Azbell. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, whom he married on February 4, 1956, Audrey (Stump) Azbell; daughter, Diane (Kenny) Poling; son-in-law, Jan Hurd; grandchildren, Scott (Connie) Poling, Justin Poling, Janna Sailor and Andy (Diane) Hurd; great grandchildren, Colten McNichols, Ashton and Gunner Poling, Zachary Jacobs, Jacob and Jason Sailor, Issac, Logan and Adam Hurd, Tristin Jenkins, Gavin (Sadie) Jenkins and sister, Shirley (Beeman) Arledge. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday February 13, 2026 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial with military graveside services will be in Green Summit Cemetery.
