Randy Stires

Randy Lee Stires of Kingston, Ohio passed away on August 15, 2025 surrounded by his family at Adena Hospital (ICU). Randy was born January 6, 1956, at Fayette County Memorial Hospital to Dorothy (Dunn) and Ronald Stires. He lived most of his life in the Mount Sterling area, where he worked as a truck driver for Tra-Serv and volunteered with Tri County Fire Department as a firefighter for many years. Randy is survived by his loving daughter Maranda (Jon) Eveland, grandchildren Makaden and Makaylee Eveland, brother Rick and sisters Julie, Rhonda, Yvett, and many nieces and nephews. Randy was preceded in death by both of his parents (Dorothy and Ronald Stires) and the love of his life Karen Massie-Stires. He spent most of his time following the weather, watching the news and hanging out with his devoted canine Baxter. The family would like to thank the ICU staff at Adena Regional Medical Center and his Home Health Aides for their compassionate care. In keeping with his wishes, a private graveside service will be held with burial at Madison Township Cemetery in Mount Sterling.
