Ralph D. Payne passed from this earth on April 7, 2026, in Circleville, Ohio. Ralph was originally from Yellowbud where he was born to Ralph and Nellie (Mannon) Payne, who pre-deceased him. He is also preceded in death by his siblings Phillip, Mary (Bobby), and Phyllis (Bob) and daughter-in-law Melinda. Foremost in the category is his son Christopher. Ralph is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years Beverly, son John, grandsons Nicholas (Whitney) and Harrison (Kristel), great grandchildren Sterling and Bridget, along with nieces and nephews Melanie (Tim), Larry, Kimberly, Jan, and very, very special friends Charlie and Chris Blankenship. Former daughter-in-law Linda also survives. Ralph could do anything. He began farming with his father, then worked at Dupont for 37 years in maintenance. In addition to his regular work he could weld, do carpentry work, pour concrete and work as a stone mason. But his passion was working on cars. After retirement he had the time to further expand his interest in vintage automobiles. His work and attention to detail were meticulous. He could repair anything and take basket cases and turn them into works of art. Ralph was a charter member of the Pickaway Township Fire Department, the Roundtown Cruisers and member of various other car clubs. He was a member of Circleville Presbyterian Church. Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Springbank Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
