Pete left this life and his battle with Parkinson’s Disease peacefully in his sleep at home with his family. Pete was born at Grant Hospital in Columbus, Ohio but spent most of his life in Circleville. His parents were David Stanley and Ruth Irene Loney Cherrington. He was a 1961 graduate of Circleville High School. He spent most of his life working in the landscaper, nursery, floral and greenhouses industries. He and his wife were owners of Lexington Gardens, DeMinico Nurseries in Jupiter, Florida and owned Brehmer Greenhouses for 20 years. His hobbies were hiking, boating, camping (especially with his grandsons), square dancing, football, eating and napping.

He will be missed by his wife Sheran, daughters Vickie and Connie (Damon Ford), grandsons Heath Ramey (Brittany), Donovan Ramey (Sidney), Ian Ramey (Alexus), great grandchildren Ada Lynn, Adalynn and Asher. Also surviving are his sister, Susan Davis, brother and sister-in-law Beverly and Ed Matheny and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation will be at Wellman Funeral Home in Circleville on Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 1-3. An inurnment service will be held later at the Forest Cemetery Columbarium for the immediate family.

The family would like to thank the Parkinson’s Foundation, Heartland Hospice, Community United Methodist Church and special neighbors and close friends for their help, love and prayers.

Pete loved outside work, so take a minute and remember him when you are mowing, weeding, planting, watering or trimming. Better yet plant a flower or tree in his memory.
