Orville Kempton

Orville E. Kempton, 93, of Laurelville, died Jan. 7, 2017 in Circleville. He was born June 13, 1923 in Dayton OH, the son of Albert and Lora (Oldaker) Kempton. Orville was a WWII Army veteran, member of Laurel Hills United Methodist Church, Pumpkin City Wings, Lancaster Old Car Club and Roundtown Roamers. Orville owned and operated his own service garage for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Mary Lou Kempton, Vera Seymour, Inez Minshall and brothers, Ernest, Curtis, Walter, Ellsworth, Glenn and Kenneth Kempton. Orville is survived by his wife, Gertrude (Bigham) Kempton, son Mark (Vicky) Kempton, granddaughters, Amber (Adam) Gooley, Terri (Corey) Calla and Traci (Aaron) Garner, brother, Don Kempton and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017 at 1:30 pm at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville with burial in the Green Summit Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 3 to 8 pm.
