Orlando Martin

Orlando Junior “O.J.” Martin, 83, of Laurelville, passed away August 11, 2016 at Berger Hospital. He was born January 17, 1933 in Ross Co. the son of Orlando W. and Louella (Wine) Martin. Junior was preceded in death by his parents and wife Ruth JoAnn (Steele) Martin. He was an U.S. Army veteran and was retired from Chillicothe Correctional Institution. In 1966 he and John Thompson started the Laurelville Little League program. He is survived by his children Linda Martin, Larry (Twila) Martin, Kathy Martin, Dena (Chipper) Smith, Tami (Rex) Carroll and Terry Martin, grandchildren Heather Harris, Chaunce Martin, Justin (Jennie) Carroll, Zachary (Jerri) Smith and Cody (Megan) Smith and 8 great grandchildren. Graveside service will be held 1:00 Wednesday August17, 2016 at Green Summit Cemetery, Adelphi with military honors. Friends may call from 4-8 Tuesday at Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville.
