Norma Jean Fosnaugh, age 93, peacefully entered into the presence of her Lord on December 4, 2025 surrounded by her family. A woman of deep faith, she devoted her life to God, her family, and her church communities, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Norma worked faithfully for A&P for 18 years, where she was respected for her dedication, hard work, and kindness. Her heart for service extended far beyond the workplace. She lovingly attended and was a member of the Ashville Church of Christ in Christian Union for many years, serving as Sunday School Superintendent for 17 of those years and nurturing the spiritual growth of both children and adults. In later years, she attended and was a member of Heritage Nazarene Church, where she worked in the front office for 12 years, sharing her faith, wisdom, and warm smile with everyone she met.
Norma enjoyed fellowship with others, volunteering at Circle of Caring, and participating in events and parties at Eden Place, where she lived for many years. She loved reading her Bible and set a personal goal of memorizing Psalm 23, a goal she joyfully accomplished. Norma also enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling to new places, and a challenging word search.
Norma was known for her vibrant smile, her unwavering faith, and her deep love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, service, and Christian devotion that will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
She is lovingly survived by her children, James (Marla) Linton and Mona (Howard) Reed; her seven grandchildren, Jonathan (Kimberly) Reed, Tara Reed, Alex Linton, Tyler (Brittany) Linton, Tatum (Ben) Harmon, Taylor (Corey) Bodenhamer, and Trey Linton; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Riggs, her sister-in-law, Dotty Adams and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Ralph Fosnaugh; her parents, Green and Lula (Large) Adams; and her siblings, Roger Adams, Ruby Hinton, Dorothy Liebe, and Janice Blankenship.
