Ned A. Young, 90, of Laurelville, Ohio passed away on August 14, 2026, at home where he lived for the past 52 years. Ned was born in Circleville, Ohio on May 3, 1936, the son of Clydus R. Young and Grace M. (Radcliff) Young. He attended school in Circleville before enlisting into the military at the age of 16, serving his country in both the Marines and National Guards. He was preceded in death by his parents Clydus and Grace Young; sister Wanda (Joe) Hoffman, daughter Tina Marie; grandson Garth R. Young and lifelong best friend Dave Carpenter. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years Carolyn Jean (Burns) Young; his children Ned Jr. (Beth), Brenda (Troy) Miller, Eric (Judy) Young, Lisa Bradford and Dan (Joanne) Bradford; 16 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren. Ned entered the carpentry trade with his father. Then many years in the heavy highway construction working for Kokosing Construction and starting T&Y Construction with long time friend William Turner and finally retiring from HCR Insulations working with his sons. Ned was a man of many words and never met a stranger. In his younger years he enjoyed the outdoors with his family camping, fishing and was an avid hunter. He spent his later years building and woodworking in his shop. He was a lifelong member of AMVETS. Ned requested to be cremated and no funeral services.
