Mary Nye

Mary Mroz Nye passed away on January 7, 2026 at Brown Memorial Home in Circleville, Ohio where she received more than 13 years of excellent care. Mary proudly served 2 years in the U.S. Navy. Her official navy blanket was one of her most prized possessions. She was born on February 2, 1924 to the late Frank Anthony Mroz and Blanche (Parda) Mroz. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Nye; Mary’s brother Edward Mroz and sisters Laura Prokop, Wanda Pajak and Jerry Williams. Mary is survived by nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews. Her nieces include Diane Kolka, Terry Perry, Barbara Fackelman, Karen Neitzey and Ann Williams. Her nephew is Paul Williams. She will be laid to rest in Forest Cemetery, Circleville, Ohio in the military section. Per Mary’s request there will be no public service. Wellman Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
