Marlin Ivan Snyder, son of the late Ora Ivan and Dorothy Beatrice (Davis) Snyder, was born in Pike County, Ohio on March 25, 1928. After a lingering illness, he peacefully departed this life on September 13, 2014, at his home, in Circleville, Ohio, with the love of his life for 63 years, by his side. On April 28, 1951, he was united in marriage to Betty Jane Hart, who survives. To this union the following children came to bless their home; a son, Ronald Ivan, and a daughter, Sharon Snyder Kline. Marlin was employed by the DCSC and retired after 27 years as a printing supervisor. In his retirement years he continued to enjoy and operate his printing business. One of his proudest accomplishments was assisting Eddie Haynes in the restoration at the High Street Cemetery. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, Betty, along with son Ronald (Pam) Snyder, daughter, Sharon (Kris) Kline all of Circleville, seven grandchildren, Tracy (Jack) Woods, of Florida, Lucas (Jessica) Snyder of Maryland, Marcus (Kristy) Snyder of Texas, Micah (Lauren) Snyder of Westerville, Kelton (Hillary) Kline, of Circleville, Kyron Kline of Circleville, Kabron (Natasha Scott) Kline of Grove City, 10 great grandchildren, brothers and sister-in-laws, Herbert and Patricia Speakman, of Laurelville, Robert Hart of Florida, and Carolyn Hart of Columbus, along with other family, friends, and neighbors. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, with Pastor Wendell Brown and Reverend William Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Circleville Church of the Nazarene or the church or charity of your choice.
