Margaret Nevada (Stahr) Karr, 85, of Laurelville (South Perry) left this earth peacefully at her home July 31, 2025. She was born November 9, 1939 to Vernie and Mary (Houston) Stahr. Margaret is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Harold “Pete” Karr; her parents Vernie and Mary Stahr; daughter-in-law Amy Karr, son-in-law Craig Riddle and granddaughters Chelsea Karr and Kealee Puckett. She is survived by her children Suellen Riddle, Jeff (Deanna) Karr, Pam (Gary) Puckett; grandchildren Bree Riddle, Bryce (Miles) Wright, Lyenya (Jason) Conrad, Natashia (Ben) Neal, Treaver (Megan) Karr, Shelby (Willie) Minshall and Maggie Puckett; great grandchildren Olivia Neal, Brynn and Karlee Snavely, Harper and Elliott Wright, Lenyx Conrad, Isla, Oakland and Rhett Karr; brothers Roy (Narcie) and Clayton (Bev) Stahr as well as many nephews and nieces. Margaret was known for her piano playing at South Perry United Methodist Church for over 62 years. She was a member of South Perry United Methodist Church and the Ladies Aide Society. The past 3 years she has attended Gibisonville United Methodist Church. Margaret was also a member of the Laurel Valley Grange. Over the years she was also involved with Hocking County 4-H as a member, advisor and 4-H committee. Margaret was retired from Logan Elm School District (Laurelville Elementary) as an aide for 19 years. A special thanks to Kim Stahr, Renee Hunter, Sandy Daubenmire, Brenda McNichols and Fair Hope Hospice for all help and love they showed our mom. Funeral services will be Sunday, August 10, 2025 with Pastor John Williams officiating. Calling hours will be 1-4 p.m. with funeral to follow at 4 p.m. at Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville with burial to follow in Olive Cemetery in South Perry. In lieu of flowers the family would like to request donations be made to FairHope Hospice, 282 Sells Road, Lancaster, Ohio 43130 a non-profit hospice and palliative care organization.
