Mamie Payne, 102, of Circleville passed away on January 16, 2016. She was born on May 18, 1913 in Pickaway County to William and Ada (Wolfe) Stevens. She attended Tarlton Community Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Elmer Payne, children; John “Bill” Payne, Keith Payne and Carry Elmer Payne and by siblings; Edna, Gertrude, Faye, Chester, Charles, Raymond “Ottie”, Leslie, Hubert, Gilbert and William “Junior”. Mamie is survived by her children; Betty (Merl) Jarrell of Circleville, Mary Graham of Laurelville, daughter-in-law; Judy Payne, brother; Ronald Stevens,18 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, 71 great great grandchildren, 8 great great great grandchildren and a host of step grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with burial to follow in Prairie View Cemetery.
