Linda Sue (Payne) Edgerley, born January 22,1950 to loving parents Hiram and Evelyn (Lunsford) Payne of Sidney, Ohio. Linda passed away at home surrounded by her 3 daughters and loving partner on October 4th, 2026, at the age of 76. Linda graduated from Sidney High School in 1968 and continued her education at the Ohio State School of Cosmetology, becoming a licensed cosmetologist in Columbus, Ohio. She would later work for Medco as a resolution expert and retire after 21 years of service. Linda and her partner of 27 years, Cheryl Hoover, enjoyed a quiet life together with their beloved pets. Linda loved working on puzzles and shopping at Craft Bazaars, and she had a real green thumb, taking great pride in watching her plants grow and flourish. She especially cherished spending time by the pool with her 19 (1otw) great-grandchildren, who lovingly knew her as Gigi. She’s by preceded in death by her parents, Hiram and Evelyn Payne of Sidney, Ohio and her husband, Ronald Edgerly Sr. of Columbus, Ohio. She is survived by her partner Cheryl Hoover, her brothers Tim (Theresa)Payne, Jeff (Jill)Payne of Naples Florida and her three daughters, Laura (John) Peck of Columbus, Ohio, Shelley Powelson of Circleville, oh. and Jacquie (Dave) Christensen of Ashville Ohio. Granddaughters Amanda, Jaymee, Mckenzie, Victoria, Dani Rae, Elizabeth, Adeline and Aubrey ,3 Grandsons Sam, Zach, and Christopher along with her beloved great-grandchildren. Linda welcomed everyone so completely that her kindness and care wasn’t just noticed, it was felt. Her imprint she left will carry on through us. We will love you forever and miss you for always, forever in our hearts our Mom you will be!! Visitation will be on Friday, October 9, 2026 from 4-6 p.m.
