Leah Berry

Leah Jean Berry, age 96, passed away peacefully at her home on September 30, 2025. Born on February 11, 1929 in Fairfield County to George Justus and Blanche Fausnaugh Justus, Leah lived a life marked by faith, dedication, adventure, community service, and quiet joy.

She held official positions with the Stoutsville Alumni Association and served for several years as secretary of the Stoutsville Senior Citizens, contributing her time and talents to the betterment of her hometown. A woman of faith, Leah was a devoted member of Dutch Hollow Israel Lutheran Church.

Leah worked for an impressive 46 years at both Brown Steel Company and Lapham-Hickey Steel Corporation, where her commitment and work ethic were deeply respected.

In her leisure time, Leah found joy in bingo, golf, puzzles, visiting casinos, watching The Ohio State Buckeyes, and indulging in her love of chocolate. She was known for her sharp wit and remarkable memory, qualities that endeared her to friends and family alike.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Paul L Berry in 2001. Leah is survived by nieces, nephews and friends who will cherish her legacy and remember her fondly.

Her life was a testament to resilience, humor, and heart. She will be deeply missed.

A private memorial service will be held to honor her life.
