Karen Suzanne Massie-Stires

Karen S. Massie-Stires, 65, of Mount Sterling passed away after a prolonged battle with illness surrounded by her family on August 8, 2022.  She was born on May 23, 1957 in Columbus to Donald Lee and Mary (Durban) Massie.    She was a retired dietary manager at St. Rita’s Nursing Home.  She received her Associates Degree from Columbus State.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  Karen is survived by her daughter Maranda (Jon) Eveland, grandchildren Makaden and MaKaylee Eveland whom she loved very much, brother Donald Massie Jr., sisters Donna Massie and Mary Coey, special friend Randy Stires, niece LeAnna Moon and nephew Justin Coey.  Visitation will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with cremation to follow.  Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
