Joyce Byrd

Joyce Byrd 59, of Columbus, passed away August 27, 2009 at Mount Carmel Hospital as a result of an automobile accident. She was born June 24, 1950 in Circleville, the daughter of George and Thelma (Byrd) Cockerham. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Barbara and Yvonne Cockerham. She is survived by her sisters, Theresa, Vickie and Marsha Cockerham of Circleville; brother, Buster Cockerham of NC; 7 nephews and nieces, George (Jennifer), Dana, Heather, Michelle, Michael, Kyle Cockerham and LaToya (Todd) Reed all of Circleville; 7 great nephews and nieces, Seth, Keeana, Devon, Raeana, Riley, Nilyn and Makya and 3 very special friends, Carolyn Brown, Mildred Morrison and Mel Thompson. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday September 3, 2009 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
