John "Johnny Ned" Cochran

In Loving Memory of John (Johnny) Neal Cochran It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John (Johnny Ned) Neal Cochran, age 60, of Blacklick, Ohio. A beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, Johnny’s life was marked by his love for family, his dedication to his work, his care for others and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Johnny faithfully served as a valued recycling manager for Rumpke Recycling and Resource Center playing a vital role in opening their new facility in Southeast Columbus. He was a proud Army veteran, and his work ethic, leadership, and many accomplishments were a reflection of his character. Above all, Johnny cherished time with his family — especially his nieces, nephews, and their children. He lovingly cared for his parents for many years and is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Cochran and older brothers, Tom and Steve Cochran. He is survived by his mother, Delores (Dee) Cochran of Orient, Ohio now Monroe, North Carolina. His siblings Cathy (Phil) Manson of Pickerington, Karen Lafferty of Lakeland, FL, Mitch Cochran of Wooster and Becky (Chris)Justice of Monroe, NC. He was deeply loved by his nieces and nephews: Michele Ennis, Josh Manson, Mary Manson, Ryan Lafferty, Trevor Lafferty, Christina Lafferty, Levi Lafferty, Jordan Foshey, Caroline Justice, Jake Justice, and Ty Justice, along with 13 great nieces and nephews who affectionately called him Grunk.

Johnny’s kind spirit, love for books, devotion to his home, and passion for his work will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 at noon with visitation from 11:00-noon at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Pastor Chris Justice and Pastor Phil Manson officiating.
