John W. Glick, Jr., 72, of Circleville, Ohio, passed away Sunday, February 8th, 2026 at Riverside Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
John was born on April 5, 1953, in Logan, Ohio, to Rev. John W. Glick, Sr. and Joan Glick, who preceded him in death.
John graduated in 1971 from Teays Valley High School. He was the self-employed owner of Glick Oil Company for twenty-six years and later retired from Logan Elm Local Schools, where he served as a custodian at Washington Elementary School.
John had a deep love for sports, especially Ohio State football and basketball, and could often be found cheering on his favorite teams. John also enjoyed gardening, classic rock music, and, most of all, attending events for his children and grandchildren.
John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Darlene (Neff) Glick; his children Kari (Eric) Karshner, Justin (Chelsea) Glick, and Kimberly (Richard) Sturgeon; and his grandchildren Annie (Ryan Cook) Karshner, Max Karshner, and Emily Glick. He is also survived by his siblings David (Scarlet) Glick, Janice Mayo, and Beth VanAtta; brother-in-law Don (Linda) Neff; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his in-laws, Elden and Olive Neff.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Emmett Chapel United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Reber Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday at the church from 11-1.
