Jennie A.Wharton, 90, of South Bloomingville, OH passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on May 30, 2025. She was born on February 28, 1935 in Laurel, Delaware to the late G. Thomas and Olive (Bush) Scott of Laurel, DE.

On September 4, 1953 Jennie married the love of her life, Trent Wharton and they created their lifetime of adventure and travel that relocated them across the United States.

Jennie had many talents including painting, sewing, gardening, cooking and creating crafts. She was an original founder of Good Time Quilters.

Most importantly, Jennie was dedicated to her family and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Jennie is survived by her daughters Janice (Michael) Oliver of Vermont, Cindy (Lynn) Alderman of Circleville, Trenny Wharton of Kingston, and son-in-law Mike Tingle of Laurel, DE. She is also survived by her grandchildren Lyndi (Ryan) Ross, Shawn Tingle, Trent Alderman and Jenna (Greg) Conaway and step- grandchildren Victoria (Jake) Emery and Kathryn Oliver as well as several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by special friends Eunice Hart and Terry Crumly. She was predeceased by her loving husband Trent and daughter Elaine in 2023. Loving care was provided by Debbie and Marilyn.

Graveside services will be held at Mt. Carmel Community Cemetery in South Bloomingville, OH by Brad Jones, Senior Pastor of Living Waters Church of Christ in Christian Union on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fairhope Hospice and Palliative Care, 282 Sells Road, Lancaster, OH 43130.
