James W. Shoemaker

James W. Shoemaker, 65, of Circleville passed away on December 14, 2025. He was born on March 19, 1960 in Columbus, Ohio. He was an Army veteran and retired Automotive Quality Engineer. James was an avid woodworker, loved Ohio State Buckeyes, rodeo, truck pulls, fishing and golfing. He was preceded in death by mother Jacquelene (Watkins) Connolly; sister Jeri Beard and his grandma Alice Lashley. James is survived by his wife Judy Shoemaker; children James R. (Marianne) Shoemaker, Jason (Candie) Shoemaker and David Polly; grandchildren James Lee, Dominiq, Drake, Madison, Atira, Jaleigh and Maddox; brother John (Crystal) Shoemaker; nephews Bryan (Allison) Beard and Ben (Marianne) Shoemaker and other extended family and by special friends Kathy, Laken, Lila and Jamie. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with burial to follow in Forest Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11-1.
