Howard D. Reeser, age 82, of Mt. Sterling, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025. Howard was born on January 18, 1943, and lived his entire life in Pickaway County. He was the son of the late Robert (Bud) Reeser and Katherine (Lape) Reeser. During his high school years, he worked at the Red and White Store in Williamsport. After graduating from Williamsport High School, he worked for Borden Dairy in Columbus. He ultimately retired from DuPont after 32 years as a process operator.
Howard loved outdoor activities, enjoying hunting a fishing the most. He was a huge supporter of local Pickaway County High School sports teams. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rosalie (Gray) Reeser, and children Doug (Mary) Reeser, Shelly (Shaan) Cox, and grandchildren Megan (James) Owens, Erin (Roger) Preayer, Hannah (James) Yip, D.J. (Gina) Roberts, Nick (Erika) Roberts, Ryan Roberts, Emily (Zac) Powers; great grandchildren Eliza, Elle, Melissa, Caleb, Cora, Eli, Olivia, Everleigh, Riley, Simon, Oliver, Winnie and Joshua; sisters Evelyn Hensley, Sheila Myers, Linda (Harold) Pyle, twin brother Harold “Sam” (Patty) Reeser and brother-in-law Dave (Rhonda) Gray and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers Max Reeser, Bob (Jo) Reeser and Richard Reeser. Services will be held Friday, May 16, 2025 at noon at Lighthouse Community Christian Church, 11659 State Route 104, Ashville, Ohio 43103.
