Homer Bonecutter, Sr.

Homer L. Bonecutter Sr., 83, passed away on April 29, 2026, at his residence. He was born on October 8, 1942, in Henderson, WV, the son of Jasper and Mary Francis (Woodall) Bonecutter.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Earl Bonecutter and Neal Bonecutter; and his great-grandsons, Bryson Roush, Jaxon Bonecutter, and Jacen Bonecutter. He is survived by his wife, Shawn (Gilbert) Bonecutter; his sister, Carol (Bonecutter) Kline; his children, Cindy Roush, Homer “Bubby” Bonecutter Jr. (Misti), Larry Gilbert, Chase Gilbert, and Shawnee Gilbert; his grandchildren, Keshia Scaggs (Donnie), Trasawn Bonecutter (Ashley), Cody Roush, and Taley Roush; and his great-grandchildren, Ivy Scott, Vuori Davis, Caleb Gilbert, Ahlana Gilbert, Bubba Scaggs, Lucy Scaggs, Brooklynn Scaggs, McKenzlea Bonecutter, Aayliah Bonecutter, Mykayla Bonecutter, Baylie Rickard, Brendon Roush, Landyn Berkley, Jaelyn Berkley, Shyla Berkley, Korben Bonecutter, Austin Hinzman, Kaden Howard, and Alexa Howard. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 12:00 p.m. May 6, 2026, at Wellman Funeral Home in Circleville. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
