Hobert Payne, 94, of Centerburg, formally of Circleville, passed away on August 7, 2017. He was born on September 28, 1922 in Louisa, KY to Lewis and Hattie (Blevins) Payne. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary (Thompson)Payne, son John Payne, brothers Logan, James and Walter Payne and by sister Ruby Sowers. Hobert was a WWII Army Veteran. He is survived by sons William (Arlene) Thompson, James, Ken and Steven (Jodi Buzzard) Payne, daughters Melody Liddil, Pamela Payne, Sharon (James) Olive and Barbara (Arcadio) Borboa, numerous grand, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and by sister Florence Williams. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home with burial to follow in Harrison Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11-l and 4-6 p.m. Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
