Hessie Chafin, 85, of Orient, died Sept. 2, 2011 in Circleville. She was born Jan. 8, 1926 in Hode, KY, the daughter of George and Alice (Jude) Maynard. Hessie was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, sons, Harold and Michael, 3 brothers and 4 sisters. She is survived by her son, Paul (Karen) Chafin Jr, grandchildren, Paul E. Chafin and Aubrey (Brian) Knoblauch, 4 great grandchildren, Harley, Riley, Catherine and Montgomery, and sister, Alice King. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow in Beckett Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 am Thursday at the funeral home. Family requests memorial contributions to Central Ohio Alzheimer’s Assoc. 1379 Dublin Rd. Columbus, OH 43215
