Florence E. Fogler, 93 of Circleville died peacefully August 29, 2026 at Berger Hospital. She was born on September 11, 1932 to the late Reverend Theodore R. and Cecile (Eubanks) McGinnis, in Jackson, Ohio. On August 26, 1953 Florence married her loving husband Dale E. Fogler, who preceded her in death in 2009.

Florence had a great sense of humor, and a quick smile for everyone. She enjoyed travelling with family and friends, eating good food, watching tennis and cheering on the Buckeyes. She enjoyed reading especially a good “whodunit”. Florence and Dale were very supportive of each other and their family and a great help raising their grandchildren.

Florence was a faithful Christian and actively participated in the church as one of the musicians at Mills Memorial United Brethren (United Methodist) Church, Lancaster. She was the Organist/pianist, and choir director at the Tarlton United Methodist Church for many years. She also taught Sunday school and played for many Weddings, and Bible Schools.

Florence first worked at the candy counter at the dime store in Lancaster. Following graduation from Lancaster High School in 1950 she worked at Essex Wire, Lancaster. Once married they moved to Tarlton and she worked at DuPont, Circleville. Following the birth of her children, Florence worked at PPG for 20 years, retiring in 1995.

Florence served the community by becoming a volunteer EMT for the Tarlton Fire Department and she served as the Tarlton Village Clerk for many years. After moving to Circleville, she served as the clerk for Gray Stone Condo Association.

In addition to her parents and husband, Florence was preceded in death by her sister Phyllis and brother in law Eldon Bailor, and in laws Evelyn and Edgar Maurice Turvey, Jr.

Florence is survived by her children Joyce (Pastor John) Michles, Circleville; Dale Eric (Cheryl Goodman) Fogler, Katy TX; Her grandchildren Tiffany Ward (David) Chaffin, Doylestown OH; Daniel Ward, Circleville; Davy (Eddie) Fogler, Belgium; Darby Fogler, Tarlton; and great grandson Mason Chaffins, Doylestown; along with many nieces and nephews.

On Thursday, September 24 Friends and Family may call from 2 pm – 4pm. Service will be held at 4 pm at Wellman Funeral Home, Pastor John Michles will officiate.
