Ellen Rittinger

Ellen Rittinger, 84, of Circleville passed away on November 13, 2025. She was born on March 28, 1941 in Ross County to John and Thelma (Layton) Hooks. She was a 1959 graduate of Atlanta High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Rittinger; daughter Carol Hemphill and siblings Kate, Margie, Dottie, Jenny, Dwight and George. Ellen is survived by her son Daryl (Tracy) Rittinger; grandchildren Jennifer (Justin) Nakanish and Brock (Staci) Hemphill; great grandchildren Bryan and Chloe and by sister Ruthie James. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with burial to follow in Springlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. and Monday 10-11 a.m. The family would like to thank Zusman Hospice, staff at Pickaway Manor and staff at Pickaway Dialysis Center.
