Delores “Dee” Loveen Cochran, 91, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, in Monroe, North Carolina. Born on February 1, 1935 to (Charles) Wilbur McGlone and Mae A. McGlone, Dee lived a life marked by faith, family, learning and service. In 1953, Dee married Thomas Clark Cochran Jr. and together they raised seven children in a home filled with warmth, laughter, and lively debate. A defining moment in her life came in 1962, when she and Tom accepted Christ after watching a Billy Graham Crusade, beginning a lifelong legacy of faith that shaped their family for generations. She was a life-long member of the Church of the Nazarene. Dee was a devoted homemaker, later serving with the State of Ohio Unemployment Bureau and finding great joy in her beloved work at the Grove City Public Library., She was an avid gardener, a generous cook, a lifelong reader, and a dedicated Bible teacher who led adult Sunday School for decades. Her love of books, learning, missions, and hospitality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Dee is survived by her children: Cathy (Phil) Manson, Karen Lafferty, Mitchell Cochran, and Becky (Chris) Justice; and by her sister Charlesa Hanson. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; Michele (Patrick) Ennis, Josh (Tiffany) Manson, Mary (Kyle) McManamy, Ryan (Kate) Lafferty, Trevor (Selena) Lafferty, Christina (Arielle) Neal, Levi (Chelsea) Lafferty, Jordan (Trevor) Foshey, Caroline Justice, Jake (River) Justice, Tyler Justice, Jessica Puckett, and Stephanie (Bill) Shockey. Her legacy continues through 15 great grandchildren: Isabella Devoe, Ava Devoe, Nora Manson, Clayton Manson, Luke McManamy, Carmindy Lafferty, Tanner Lafferty, Samuel Lafferty, Maddox Lafferty, Colin Lafferty, Miles Lafferty, Luca Neal, Charlie Foshey, Austin Hysell, Morgan Hobday, and Halle Shockey; and 1 great-great grandchild Enya Devoe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Clark Cochran Jr.; her sons Thomas (Tommy) Cochran, Steve Cochran, and John Cochran; her parents (Charles) Wilbur McGlone and Mae A. McGlone; three brothers Cecil (Bud) Maynard, Lee McGlone and William (Bill) McGlone and four sisters: Christine Maynard, Colleen (Connie) Brinkley, Joyce Ruff and Loretta Wright. There will be a graveside service Friday, August 7, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Concord Cemetery, 6215 Hoover Road, Grove City, Ohio. Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville is handling the arrangements.
