David Tuinstra

David McClelland Tuinstra, 88, of Circleville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 29, 2026. He was born August 14, 1937, in Des Moines, IA, the son of Carlos and Lorene Tuinstra. He was retired from Fyda Freightliner and served in the US Army. He was chosen for the Honor Flight in November 2025 and loved the experience. He was a member of Amvets and the American Legion. He loved gardening, traveling, reading and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Michael Tuinstra, his siblings, Darlene Townsend, Daryl Tuinstra & Carla Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Jerri (Lind) Tuinstra, his children, Darren (Barbara) Tuinstra & Tami (Mike) West, his grandchildren Jimmy (Kasey) Cupp, Nikki (Richey) Taylor, Josh (Jamie) Cupp, Megan (Ryan) Kroflich, Kaley Heeter, Kelsey (Justin) Whitesed, David (Kayla) Tuinstra, Dylan Tuinstra, Jacob Cupp, his great grandchildren Cohen, Reid, Beckett, Cade, Adelyn, Hadley, Parker, Levi, Logan, Lauren, Emerlyn, Adele, Westen, Abram & Everett. A private service will be held for family at a later date.
