David Karr

David Russell Karr, 85, of South Perry, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 23, 2026. He was born January 1, 1941 the son of the late Clarence Karr and Lodema Sahr Karr Vorhees. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Cecil Karr. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Beverly McNeal Karr and two daughters, Donna Karr and Rita (Joe) Johnson. He was blessed to have a very special cousin Jeff Karr who was always there for him at his “beck and call.” Their bond was truly special. For many years he worked as a carpet layer, a trade he was exceptional at and took great pride in. Dave was a skilled horseman and rode his horse “Lucky” in many competitions in Ohio and surrounding states. If you were looking for Dave, you could find him at the local tavern socializing with friends. In later years he especially enjoyed spending time with his great-great nieces, Zayleigh and Zella and his great-great nephew Zane cherishing the joy they brought into his life. We will be having a “Day to Remember Dad” on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at the Rhoads Garden Center, 1051 State Route 56 East, Circleville, Ohio from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
