David Blue

David A. Blue, 90, of Circleville, went to be with the Lord on March 8, 2026. He was born on July 2, 1935, in Circleville, the son of Chester A. Blue and Irene Dreisbach Blue. He was one of six children. He graduated from Circleville High School in 1953. He was proceeded in death by his parents, his first wife, Velma J. (Swackhammer) Blue and sisters. He was a member of Heritage Nazarene Church, where he loved to greet people. He was the owner of Blue’s Furniture. He was the dispatcher for his father’s taxi cab service when he was in Middle School.He is survived by his wife Charlene Harrison Blue, daughter, Jill (David) Brown, sons Mark and Shawn (Kathy) Blue. Stepsons Rodney (Renee) and Steven (Carol) Shaw. He has 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He enjoyed watching Ohio State basketball and football. The Cincinnati Reds were his favorite professional baseball team. He especially enjoyed watching his great grandchildren in basketball, baseball, dance and giving presentations. They all loved him dearly. He was loved by many nieces and nephews. Both visitation and the funeral will be held at Wellman’s Circleville Funeral Home. The hours are viewing Thursday, March 12, 3:00-6:00 p.m. and the funeral will be held Friday March 13, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
