Dale Roger Cline, 82, of Circleville, passed peacefully at home on Monday, April 6, 2026 surrounded by his family after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Dale was born at home on April 20, 1943 in Waverly Ohio to Glenn and Ruth Cline. He graduated from Waverly High School in 1961 and went on to work for Mead Paper. On September 4th, 1962, he married high school sweetheart Sharon Kay ”Katie” Roe. Together they shared 63 joyous years of marriage and grew a beautiful family of 3 children, 8 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. In 1970 Dale followed his heart of service to others and joined the Ohio State Highway Patrol where he spent 25 years, retiring as a Staff Lieutenant from the patrol headquarters. In 1978 the OSHP afforded him the opportunity to relocate the family to Chicago to attend the Northwestern University Traffic Institute for one year. Dale enjoyed golfing, watching Ohio State sporting events, and spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. His love was unconditional and he was a guiding light for his family on how to live to help others. Dale was a member of the Shrine and was formerly Potentate of the Aladdin Temple in Columbus. He loved being an active member of Community United Methodist Church, leading many youth mission trips. He was a member of B.P.O.E. He served on the Pumpkin Show Parade Committee for several years. Dale was admired for helping his community in both his professional and personal life. He loved serving others, it filled him with joy. Dale embodied a true Servant’s heart in everything he did for everyone he came across. Dale and Katie found their “happy place” at Sandpiper Golf and Country Club In Lakeland, Florida.
