Charles Smith

It is with sorrow filled hearts we announce the passing of Charles (Chuck) Edward Smith, age 65 of Kingston, Ohio. Chuck departed this life too soon, yet peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on September 20th 2025 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on March 10th 1960 in Ross County. He is the son of (late) Raymond Smith, and survived by mother Geneva Smith (Congrove). He married Jocene Tency Danner (Smith) on June 24th 1984. Together they raised five children Nichole Smith (Jason Layne), Robin Smith, David Lowery, Chasity Lowery (LaFontaine), and Travis Lowery.

He is a devoted and loving grandfather “Pap” to Tayley, Hailey, Ashley, Isaiah, Elisabeth, Lillian, Alexander, Harper, Brayden, and Bentley.

He is also a great grandfather to Jaxson, Bexley, Braxton, Kameron and Khyriee.

He is a brother to (late) Raymond (Butch) Allen (Joanne), and survived by Ricky Lee (Sandy), Thomas Eugene ((late) Rhonda), Jeffrey Lloyd (Angela), Bryan Douglas (Joy), Debra Lynn and David Joseph ((late)Dee) Smith

Chuck had a life-long love for logging and being in the woods. He loved spending time with his family and always came with laughter.

A grave side service will be held at Green Summit Cemetery on Thursday September 25th at 12:00 pm where all of his friends and family are welcome to join as we lay him to rest.
