Catherine Louise Berry, 99, of Chillicothe went home to be with the Lord the evening of March 28, 2026. Born in Circleville to Paul Herald and Elva Ellen (Ross) Betz, she lived in Circleville most of her 99 years. On February 28, 1947, she married Milton Lee Berry and lived in Circleville until after his death then moved to Chillicothe to be closer to family. The couple had twin daughters, Donna Lou and Diana Lee Berry. Catherine graduated from Circleville High School on June 6, 1944. She was employed at the military facilities at Rickenbacker airport during the war, then later held other jobs before becoming secretary to the Principal of Circleville High School, a job she held for 36 years. In 2020 she moved to Chillicothe to be near her family. Catherine was predeceased by her parents, her sister Betty Pittenger, and brother David Betz, her nephew, Charles Pittenger, husband and her daughter Donna, but leaves behind her daughter Diana (Jim) Buchanan of Chillicothe, granddaughter Lindsay (Joseph) Helterbridle and great grandson Noah Helterbridle, grandson, Andrew Buchanan of Georgia, and special family friend, Andy Lucas. Visitation will be at Wellman Funeral Home on North Court Street in Circleville on Saturday, April 4,2026 from 10:00 a.m. un noon. The funeral service will be at 12:00 noon, with graveside service to follow at Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery. Pastor Chris Brown of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Chillicothe, where Catherine attended will officiate the service. Online condolences can be made at www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
