It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and Papa, Brent Boggs Liston, whose steady presence, generous heart, and unwavering love shaped the lives of all who knew him. He passed away on April 9, 2026, at the age of 74.

Brent was born on April 4, 1952, in Circleville, Ohio, to Robert and Betty (Boggs) Liston. On August 18, 1973, he married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Penny Sue Arledge. Together, they built a life centered on love, devotion, and family.

A deeply loving and devoted man, Brent found his greatest joy in his family. He was the steady foundation of his home—a source of strength, guidance, and kindness whose presence brought comfort and stability to those who loved him. A proud father and cherished Papa, he gave unconditional love and unwavering support. He especially treasured time with his grandchildren, Madison and Brody, and found great joy in the companionship of his beloved dogs, Misha, Sasha, Coco, Gigi, and Lulu.

Golf was a lifelong passion and a meaningful part of Brent’s life. On the course, surrounded by family and friends, he found camaraderie, connection, and created many of his most treasured memories. He also enjoyed collecting classic muscle cars, Farmall tractors, fine bourbon, and Ohio State Buckeye memorabilia—interests he loved sharing with family, often sparking laughter and storytelling.

Brent’s commitment to his community reflected the same values he lived by at home: loyalty, generosity, and pride. He served as President and board member of Butte des Morts Country Club and North Shore Country Club, as well as Exalted Ruler of Circleville Elks Lodge #77, honoring each role with dedication and genuine care for others.

Over a distinguished 44-year career, Brent spent 20 years with Reynolds Aluminum before relocating several times in presidential leadership roles, gaining broad experience and forming lasting connections along the way. He ultimately settled in Appleton, Wisconsin, where he concluded his career as President of Appleton Supply Company. After retiring 10 years ago, he embraced retirement with the same energy and purpose that defined his professional life, enjoying meaningful years surrounded by family and friends.

A proud and active member of his community, Brent also served as HOA President of Woodland Lakes, his retirement community, continuing his spirit of leadership and service.

Brent is survived by his loving wife, Penny; his daughters, Tracy Sykes and Amy Nelson; his grandchildren, Madison (Carter) Eckes and Brody Sykes; his sister, Becky Yates; his sisters-in-law, Sharon (Joe) Schneider and Patty (Kelly) Barthelmas; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bruce.

Brent will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his unwavering love and devotion to his family. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished and the memories that will be held close for generations to come.
