Brenda has been called home to Heaven.
She left this world having dedicated herself wholeheartedly to the people, family, and things she loved most. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chancy and Dorothy Edmunds; sisters Rosalee Walker and Sue Meeks, brother Larry Edmunds, and brother-in-law Robert Crosby. Brenda is survived by her daughter Sherri (Mark) Smith, son Barry (Angela) Fowler, sister Shirley (Stan) Gillespie, sister Vickie Crosby, sister in law Linda Edmunds, grandchildren Miranda (Alex) Bell and Elaina Fowler, great-granddaughter Alice Bell, niece Callie Crosby, and great nephews Nicholas and Tucker Crosby. This not to mention the strong network of family and individuals stemming from her childhood in Kentucky, past and present. All were among the greatest blessings in her life. Over the years, Brenda cherished several beloved dogs, each of whom she welcomed into her life and considered an extension of her family. Brenda's tireless dedication to her family's business was the final chapter in a life that included several professional endeavors. Through each of them, she brought determination, commitment, and willingness to give of herself. Above all, as her journey drew to a close, Brenda made a wholehearted commitment to her faith and to her family. She embraced both unabashedly, finding comfort and purpose in the things that mattered most to her. She will be remembered for her devotion to those she loved, her dedication to her family, and the lasting mark she left on the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. Her life was defined not simply by what she accomplished, but by the people and causes to which she gave her heart. She has left this earthly life, but the love she gave and the memories she created will remain with her family and all who knew her. Online condolences can be made at www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
